Sustainable tourism around the Duero-Douro

 

Discover Duero Douro is a project whose main challenge is to promote the Duero-Douro axis as a sustainable tourist destination based on unique experiences. It stands on innovation, quality, and the emotion transmitted by this cross-border territory’s landscape heritage.

The initiative will run until 2021 and will contribute to generating socio-economic development and curb depopulation.

Partners: Santa María la Real del Patrimonio Histórico Foundation FSMRPH (BP), Agrupación Empresarial Innovadora para la Construcción Eficiente AEICE, Asociación Ibérica de Municipios Ribereños del Duero AIMRD, Junta de Castilla y León JCYL, Zamora Council  AYTO ZA, Comunidade Intermunicipal das Terras de Tras-os-Montes CIM-TTM, Comunidade Intermunicipal do Douro CID, Associaçao de Municipios do Douro Superior AMDS.

Total budget: 1.070.894,75€, of which 75% is co-financed by the ERDF through the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Program (POCTEP) Interreg V-A.
